We have found a good elevated site in south NSW at Merimbula, going back there for a setup tomorrow…suitcase vertical for all bands… worked TX8 JA ZL from here in North Victoria by the coast in Mallacoota. Using the FT991 and vertical in the tree ! Great Wx.Looking forward to BERU again.
Hi all, we are travelling in NSW and planning to find a spot near the beach south of Sydney for BERU. Maybe down to Victoria, using the FT991 and suitcase verticals from the campervan or a cabin.
Good luck to the Travellers team, I hope to be on all bands.

Here are some of the views of the antennas at VY2TT used by me in BERU.
80m was a 4 square behind the house, 40m is a 4 ele at 90 feet on the near tower, 20m 3 * 6 ele stack, 2 rotatable, 15m 6/6/4 stack all rotatable, 10m 2 8 ele both rotatable
and here is the op trying to point them, use writelog, key, and catch up VY2ZM who has even bigger ones ( I failed !)..73 mike
Thanks to a change in the rules, I’ll be able to participate this year!! Look not only for VY2, but VY1. I’ll be QRV as VY1AAA, in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory (VY1JA QTH), via remote. I’ve wanted to participate in BERU/Commonwealth contest since I was a teenager, and I’m now 60 — but I live in the United States. Thanks for the rule change! If the propagation Gods are with us, it should be a lot of fun! Gerry, VE1RM
see the new rules for remote this year ! fwd by Mke G3VYI

Hi all , I have decided to follow in Peter G3LET’s footsteps and head to the PEI super station lodge at VY2TT. Makes a change from 9M6! It will, hopefully, be combined with a holiday train trip with the xyl from Montreal to New Brunswick. Thanks to Peter G3LET and Dave VE9CB for all the advice and encouragement so far! I hope the weather holds ! All is now booked except the cross country dog sleds. Learning to use such a super station will be quite a challenge. We hope to be there Wednesday before BERU so look out for VY/G3VYI on CW of course on LF bands on the evenings preceding the kickoff. Good luck to all, especially the BERU travelers.

Heres the antennas at 9M6GY’s QTH used by 9M6/G3VYI, the sky is blue but we had 1 foot of rain just before the contest!
So far Team Far East will comprise Mike 9M6/G3VYI and Nigel 3B8XF ( G3TXF), maybe more later….James 9V1YC has now joined as well…looking forward to BERU again!
I am pleased today to receive my Sabah licence thanks to Godfrey Yin my host at 9M6GY. He has a good QRO station in KotaKinabalu that I will be using, I may take my own vertical for 80m to add to his HF beams and 40m dipole. UK and VE may be more of a challenge than in the last years for me though!
